StraNdZ, which is the hub for children and family ministry in the Tikanga Pakeha dioceses of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa-New Zealand, has appointed a new enabler.

Diana Langdon has worked in children’s ministry and graphic design in London and Wellington for the last decade, and she will begin with Strandz in March.

Diana began her journey into what she calls “the messy and creative world of kids’ ministry” in 2003, when she took on a 2-year internship at a south London church, working with families on housing estates.

“I saw first-hand,” she says, “how simple encouragement, support from the church and sharing the love of Jesus could transform families’ lives.”

In 2005, Diana was invited to become the Children’s Ministry Team Leader at All Saints Hataitai, in the Diocese of Wellington.

She devoted almost five years to this task, and helped children’s and youth ministry grow in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs.

Diana then spent 2011 upskilling in graphic design, and she has gone on to do design work for churches, charities, non-profit organisations and businesses both here in New Zealand and, for the last two years, in the UK.

Diana says her new role as the Strandz Enabler will bring together her experience in children’s ministry, creative design and communication.

“I am excited,” she says, “about this unique opportunity to support all that God is doing in the local churches around New Zealand.”

Diana takes over the StraNdZ enabler post from Julie Hintz, who finished late last year to return to the States to be with her family.
