Faith nurses gathering in Chch

Faith Community Nursing will hold its 12th annual national conference in Christchurch from midday Friday to Sunday, 21-23 September, concluding with lunch.

The venue is Sonoda House at Canterbury University.

The focus of the conference is appropriate to Christchurch – ‘Being called together to bind the brokenhearted: sustaining resilience when hope is wavering.'

A retreat led by two spiritual directors will occur on Friday when there will be opportunity for contemplation amid the beauty of the Ilam gardens.

Educational input includes exploring the theology of suffering and hope. The conference will conclude with a service led by the Tongan community.

This conference is for all nurses interested in bridging faith and health in the community. Faith nurses will share their stories.
