The UK Bible Society has published a free children’s video for Easter 2017, which scans key moments in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus .
The four-minute video, which was recommended in a tweet by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby this week, is designed to introduce children to the story of Jesus on a first visit to church at Easter.
The video picks up moments in Jesus' life through the gospel stories of : Zaccheus, feeding the five thousand, the man who built his house on a rock and Jesus’ walking on the water. Finally the story moves to the crucifixion hill, where a large love heart forms in the clouds gathering behind the crucified Christ. The video ends with Mary's witness of the resurrection with Jesus at the empty tomb.
The UK Bible Society website has also published free printable worksheet resources for churches that feature an Easter trail guide and colouring pages that use the same graphics as the 2017 Easter video.
